A still rosé harvested and vinified by the previous owner of the domain, Xavier Caillard ofLes Jardins Esméraldins. The fruit came from Caillard’s younger vines on a south-east facing hillside with clay-limestone soils. After 10 days of whole-bunch maceration the pressed wine was aged for 3 years in stainless steel vats and followed by 4 years in barrel. Bottled in May 2022 by new owners of the domaine, Les Jardins de la Martinière, this wine is a deep shocking magenta in the glass with a richness, complexity, and texture to match. An earthy, supple rosé that with its complexity drinks almost like a light red. It’s an entirely unique bottle from this legendary winemaker. A once-in-a-lifetime bottle.
